Homework
All children in school are expected to do some homework each week. The amount of work and type of activity varies according to the age of the child. We rely on the support of parents to help children to organise their time and to ensure homework tasks are completed. Homework is a valuable way for parents to see how their child is progressing and it creates opportunities for discussion about schoolwork within the home. Homework should not be a chore or require too much time. If you have concerns regarding the time involved, please draw this to the attention of the class teacher. We appreciate the time parents give to hearing their children read, assisting with the learning of spellings and the recall of multiplication tables. These are important foundations for future learning.
